Keep ‘em coming—October is rolling in and so are the markets, among them a handful of pre-loved fleas that bargain-hunters will be happy to peruse.
Farmers Market at Loewen Gardens (Oct 7)
The trusty Farmers Market at Loewen Gardens is back this first Saturday of October, with a good mix of organic vegetables, bread, wine, olive oil and fresh honey on sale. Look out also for specialty brands joining the market with their healthy, artisan products—like bean-to-bar craft chocolatier Fossa Chocolate and artisanal ice cream brand Licktionary Ice Cream.
Where: 75E Loewen Road
Sunday Social Market (Oct 8)
Music, fashion and food come together at the Camp Kilo Charcoal Club regular event. Shop fashion accessories, crafts and interior decor, taste from artisanal bakers and indulge in Camp Kilo’s hearty roasts while DJs Mack (UK) and Muto Masashi (Japan) spin house music to get you in the spending mood.

Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market (Oct 20-22)
A new month calls for a new Katong Square market, which, with its vinyl records and vintage goods, touts itself as Singapore’s only true blue vintage flea market. Resident booths include familiar names like The Retro Factory, Memory Lane and The Great Vinyl Exchange; but be sure to hit up the “casual booths” for preloved bargains.

Underground Market No. 9 x Urban Ventures (Oct 21)
Mark your calendars, because crowd favorite Underground Market is back, as part of the Urban Ventures Street Party Vol 7. For those of us who miss the good ol’ days of pre-loved flea shopping at SCAPE, Keong Saik Road comes alive this particular Saturday—with food, drinks, and tons of bargains. Shop the clothes, accessories and shoes of personalities like Linda Hao and Irina Tan; if you get bored (or broke), the street party conveniently located on the same road is a good option. Heads up—there’ll even be drag queens attending.

Liberty Flea (Oct 22)
Local art space Artify Studio is hosting their very first flea, and it’s all about sustainability. No plastic bags will be provided, so bring your own bag to support the cause, or purchase one of the limited edition Aritfy Studio tote bags at $5 to stash your new buys in. Products on sale include henna, pre-loved clothing, trinkets, handmade crafts and vintage knick-knacks—basically anything that helps in reducing waste. Feel free to haggle here; items sold are at your best named price.

Art Market—Celebrating NYP 25th Anniversary 2017 (Oct 25)
Northside residents will be pleased to know that Nanyang Polytechnic is holding an art market to celebrate turning 25. The event is hosted by local crafts and retail service Handmade by Wai, so look out for bespoke trinkets, hand-lettered gifts and other pretty souvenirs.

Noise Invasion Festival (Oct 28)
Noise Singapore and Invasion Festival have come together to produce one heck of a baby. The Noise Invasion Festival celebrates individuality and creativity—through a killer lineup of music, art, dance and food. And it’s not your regular arts festival; the fest encourages being “weird” and completely deviant from the mainstream (come dressed in costumes and you might win a prize). Same goes for the art market happening within the festival—shop unique fashion, arts and lifestyle products designed by local artists and craftsmen; and then maybe take a walk through the Ten Courts of Hell after.
