Instead of checking out supercars like Maseratis and Lamborghinis whizz down Orchard Road or gawking at the ones parked outside the Grand Hyatt and Singapore Marriott Tang for all to see, car lovers will enjoy a different kind of showcase of cars this month. We might be shifting into gear for the coming F1 Singapore Grand Prix but before you get into all the octane-fuelled activities, make your way to Sands Expo and Convention Center Hall E on basement 2 to check out the annual Car of the Year event this weekend (Jul 14-15 [6:30-9pm], 16 [10am-6pm]).
Luxglove, a local online marketplace specializing in high quality pre-loved art, design and other collectibles, is following up last year’s Classic Car Weekend at Dempsey by supporting this event with a spectacular showcase of more than 40 classic cars (double from the previous edition). You can expect a static showcase of classically designed sports cars like a Ferrari 328 GTB, a Lamborghini Espada, a Jensen Interceptor Convertible, a Chevrolet C1 Corvette, a Jaguar E-type series 3 and many more.
