Brace yourself—the next three weekends will be filled with music from 100 amazing local acts

Yes, Baybeats is happening this weekend too, but if you still want to enjoy music from our very own talents but at a grittier and other super chill event, then the 100 Fest (previously known as 100 Bands) is where you want to be (takes place Jul 14-16, 21-23 & 28-30).

The past three events have taken music lovers to offbeat spaces around Singapore that aren’t exactly music venues, but festival director Razi Razak (also the man behind Rockstar Collective and the former weekly Identity showcase at the now-defunct Home Club), his team, The People’s Association and its affiliates always transform the place into an amazing epicenter of local music.

We’ve seen them breathe new life into the Old Hougang Interchange, blow everything out of the water at Bedok Reservoir and taken the scene to greater heights at the open field opposite Paya Lebar Airbase and now, they’re Back to School with 100 different bands, singer/songwriters, DJs and producers slated to play at two stages—an abandoned school hall and school library—in the former Bedok Town Secondary School (232 Bedok North St. 3).

The extensive line-up covers many different genres, from hardcore punk to electronic, with pioneers like The Analog Girl, Typewriter and In Each Hand A Cutlass, DJs and producers Kiat and Special K, and both new and established acts like MasiaOne, Mudman, and many more.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page for the full line-up.
