Dine with drag queens for a saucy but meaningful night out

There’s no better feeling than indulging in a meal that goes straight from the heart to the stomach—so we’re thrilled to know that The Giving Table is back for its fourth edition; headed this time by a trio of sassy hostesses.

For those who haven’t felt the love firsthand, The Giving Table is an initiative organized to bring people together and have a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal, all while providing support to an individual or group in need of help. But they’re no regular charity—the group or person being supported is involved from start to finish; planning, preparing and hosting the shared meal. Last year saw a member of The T Project, a shelter and organization supporting Singapore’s transgender community, whipped up a home-cooked Peranakan meal for all to share.

This Aug 28, say hello to Singapore’s top drag queens Ashley Fifty, Becca D’Bus and Mona Kee Kee, as they take charge of the dinner in support of IndigNation. In celebrating Pride Season, you can surely expect the night to be full of laughs and cheeky surprises. While the menu hasn’t been confirmed, a spread suitable for vegans, carnivores and even carb-cutters has been promised. All of the proceeds from the dinner will go towards helping IndigNation, which is in full force with its lineup of events, workshops and talks shedding some much-needed light on the local LGBTQIA community. And because IndigNation is completely volunteer-run (by LGTBQIA folks, naturally), every little bit of help counts.

For a night to remember, head here to buy tickets, which are $80 per person or $50 for students and starving artists.

The Giving Table: A Dinner in Support of IndigNation happens Aug 28, 7.30pm at Artistry. More information here
