Nostalgia hits Singapore hard next year as three ‘90s bands make their way here

And here we thought the nostalgia train already left after Backstreet Boys’ performance at the National Stadium last Saturday (Oct 21). It’s been a great year of music, seeing acts of yesteryear like The Moffatts, Guns N’ Roses, Sum 41, Dashboard Confessional, Air and even Britney Spears perform on our soil. Boy George-fronted English outfit Culture Club is up next, but it only gets better.

Next year, ‘90s English pop trio 911, boy band 5ive (formed by the same team that managed the Spice Girls) and pop outfit S Club will be coming to Singapore on Mar 10 to perform their hits that made their careers (and the soundtrack of your youth) at The Star Theatre. Decades may have past since their hayday, and lineups may have changed, so we’re staying cautiously excited about this one. You can probably expect hits like 911’s “Bodyshakin’”, 5ive’s “Until the Time is Through” and S Club’s “Bring It Back” throughout the two-hour “I Love 90s” concert.

Tickets are priced at $98-$178 via Sistic from Oct 25. VIP ticket holders will get to meet 911 and S Club after the concert and take a group photo with them. More info here.
