Now that we’ve got the F1 out of the way, the next few things we can look forward to are Diwali, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and of course, New Year. FOOD
Earlier this year, Tiger set up a new initiative to help aspiring hawkers set up their stalls, giving out $10,000 each to help cover hefty initial costs. This all culminates in the inaugural Tiger Street Food Festival, where you can try a selection of authentic street food made by these tenacious fund recipients. Sep 22

FESTIVAL
Gillman Barracks is celebrating their 5th anniversary with its popular Art After Dark open house this Fri, bringing new exhibitions to the various galleries, special programs and performances, a makers’ market and a massive block party by fun-loving party planners Super 0. Sep 22

FILM
The Singapore Open Air Cinema Club returns to the Hive this month with the screening of the German-American political war thriller Blood Diamond, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Sep 22

FESTIVAL
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival amongst flora and fauna at Mid-Autumn @ Gardens by the Bay with sprawling lantern displays set amidst a lush garden setting. Stroll through extravagant lantern sets in both the indoor and outdoor exhibits, or simply enjoy the nightly cultural performances, a food street featuring Asian delights, and craft booths offering activities like lantern decorating and umbrella painting. FILM
This year’s Spanish Film Festival Singapore will take place at The Arts House, screening four light-hearted films like Mi Gran Noche (My Great Night) and Felices 140 (Happy 140 Years). Admission is free, and you might even stand to take home a bottle of Spanish wine or cava courtesy of Tapas Club. Through Sep 23

EXHIBITION
Singaporean visual artist Juls presents her first solo show Automarktic—an ongoing investigation of marking patterns, strokes and techniques presented in what basically look like large-scale doodles on crack. But there is method to her madness; the 10 featured pieces, done on mediums ranging from marker to paint, are created by automatic drawing (hence the exhibition name) and through observation. FOOD
An inaugural collaboration between Resorts World Singapore and SAVOUR, The Great Food Festival brings together the region’s best culinary and lifestyle trends, with over 100 signature dishes and 300 desserts from Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants. Happening at Resorts World Sentosa, the three-day festival comprises complimentary celebrity chef masterclasses and hands-on workshops too. Through Sep 24

THEATER
Catch 60 thespians go against each other for the winning prize of $30,000 at this year’s Singapore Monologue Slam, happening at *SCAPE Gallery. And if you’re game, register now and put on a great show for all to see. Through Sep 24

EXHIBITION
Topshop and Topman are getting hands-on with their creativity this fall, with interactive multimedia installations to present two key AW17 trends. Housed in dedicated rooms, each brand will showcase two trends through a mix of style, art and interactive media. Through Sep 24

EXHIBITION
Objectifs presents yet another joint exhibition, this time by Exactly Foundation resident artists Tom White and Kelvin Lim. White examines notions of cultural policy and the ‘kampung spirit’ in the Waterloo Centre community in his exhibit Rhetorical Territories, while Lim explores caregiving for the elderly in a photo show titled Who Cares? ART
Looks like it’s Silver Seniors September, as Silver Arts, Singapore’s only festival dedicated to the well-being of seniors, returns for its sixth edition with a line-up of performances involving more than 80 veteran artists, senior talents and art groups. Through Sep 24

FESTIVAL
Fried chicken, booze and nothing but the best of Singapore’s local music scene—enjoy it all at 4Fingers’ inaugural outdoor music festival, Local Motion, held at Fort Canning. Sep 23

SPORT
Just a couple of months ago, we saw B-grade personalities Sylvester Sim and Steven Lim announcing that they’ll be fighting each other in a ring to settle their differences. Like you, we thought it was a joke, but it’s not. Catch them go head on at the Asia Fighting Championship at Marina Bay Sands. Sep 23

ART
It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice hobbyist or a pro, because the 15th Canon PhotoMarathon is open to all walks of life. Exchange tips with other participants and take on the challenge to shoot some epic photos, according to a series of themes which will be announced on the day itself. Sep 23

MARKET
The Singapore Red Cross’s signature bazaar is back, this time with an impressive 50-stall showcase. Featuring diplomatic missions and local enterprises, the bazaar will have food, beverages and merchandise, which you can purchase via tickets at $10 each ($100 per book of 10). All proceeds go towards local humanitarian services that help the disabled, elderly and vulnerable. Sep 23

SPORT
The Happiest 5K is back—this time at night. For Color Run 2017, participants wear a black light headlamp to capture the UV reactive powder during the color throws and get to dash through glowing color zones as well as night attractions throughout the entire neon course. Sep 23

MARKET
The Public Garden Consumer Trade Show is essentially a curated mega flea of independent designers selling their unique crafts. Head down to check out some of the quirkiest independent brands in Asia, where you can find anything from clothes to accessories to handmade stationery. Sep 23-24

PARTY
This one’s for all you nerdy party people out there. The Funan Showsuite will be the venue for Finding Party, a gathering of video gamers this weekend, filled with free-flow food and drinks, movie screenings, and of course, video games. Everything’s free for all who register in advance. Sep 23-24

EXHIBITION
On the 75th anniversary of the fall of Singapore, the National Museum of Singapore remembers 1942, with their first large-scale, blockbuster war exhibition featuring more than 130 artefacts from 10 overseas museums and institutions. It’s the biggest collection of war stories to date. Check out the exhibition to explore events and portrayals of World War II beyond just your textbook syllabus. Sep 23-Mar 21

EXHIBITION
The Substation asks all the tough questions with Discipline The City, a three-act exhibition exploring the politics of space, control and access in Singapore, through a series of experiential installations from local and international artists. MUSICAL
Touted as “Broadway’s greatest dance musical”, the international award-winning West Side Story comes to the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands for a limited season. The musical is highly inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, but set in the ’50s against the backdrop of a rivalry between two gangs in an Upper West Side neighborhood in New York. Through Sep 24

EXHIBITION
The Tao of Lee Kuan Yew exhibition features 14 artists from six countries and 94 artworks from private collections. The pieces have been curated to examine the dichotomy between art and politics, and Asian values—topics near and dear to Singapore’s most revered man. Through Sep 24

FOOD
The popular Singapore Restaurant Month is now a full-fledged festival, thanks to the Restaurant Association of Singapore bringing together more than 200 chefs who will be preparing a locally-inspired dish at their respective eateries for the very first Singapore Restaurant Festival. Through Sep 30

EXHIBITION
Robots have invaded the ArtScience Museum and everyone’s invited to take a peek at what the future of cybernetics, artificial intelligence and genetic modification might look like at the HUMAN+: The Future of Our Species exhibition. Come with an open mind as you interact with life-like humanoids and find out how robots are already living among us. Through Oct 15

EXHIBITION
Monsoon Song is Singaporean artist Fyerool Darma’s second solo exhibition, two years after he debuted with a series of paintings exploring the Malay identity and dissociation.
