October’s always a difficult month for revelers because there’s the huge German beer festival where everyone just comes out to have a jolly, boozy good time at all the various events; as well as Halloween parties and scare zones to look forward to (and costumes to think about). But if you only have time for one big event for each occasion, there’s USS’ Halloween Horror Nights you already know about, and then there’s the annual Oktoberfest Asia over on the lawn at Tan Quee Lan Street.
Happening on Oct 19-21, Singapore’s biggest Oktoberfest returns with the same air-conditioned festival-style marquee as last year’s; all decked out with decorations and other adornments to replicate Oktoberfest events (and their atmosphere) in Munich. It’ll be the fifth year where you can enjoy free-flow Bavarian and other German brews like Paulaner Brauhaus, Weihenstephaner and Bitburger, as well as typical German bites like roast pork knuckles, homemade sauerkraut and more.
Regular tickets are $100 (includes free-flow beers and one dinner platter) while VIP tickets are $160 (includes free-flow beers, gourmet buffet and goody bag); available here. More info on the event here.
