A fitting end to 2020: Singapore Sports Hub unveils fun activities for the whole family

If your new year resolution is to get fit, lose weight and be healthy, you might as well start now.

End the year on a high by heading to the Singapore Sports Hub (SSH) which has unveiled a host of exciting experiences for the whole family.

Start with the Walk of Love, a leisurely stroll that happens every Saturday in Dec (12, 19, 26). You’ll be accompanied by radio personality The Flying Dutchman who will take you through SSH’s Scenic, Heritage and Stadium walking routes for a picturesque evening.

A virtual version of Walk of Love will also allow participants to join in remotely at their own time and pace within December, with only a screenshot of the stepometer required for submission.

If you are 18 and above, you can join the Youth Flex Lifestyle Series with activities like K-pop/Hip-Hop dance night, workouts to tone and sculpt, and even water sports adventure tryouts. Capacity is limited so register for your slot by downloading the ELXR app at the App Store or Google Play.

Then there’s Community Play Day taking place from Dec 4-20 with exciting sports, games, workouts, and craft workshops. Discover the heritage of Kallang at the Sports Hunt where you race to complete challenges in order to relive a part of Singapore’s sporting glory.

The Experience Sports Programmes will get you moving with a variety of workouts such as Keep Fit Taiji Wellness, Cardio Dance, and Yoga Moves. For some creative inspiration, workshops led by small local companies will teach you how to customise your own terrarium, crochet an otah keychain or kickstart your urban farming hobby by painting your own terracotta pot.

Meanwhile, kids six to 12 years will enjoy Junior Playcation activities such as Spike Ball, Laser Tag, Archery Tag and Ultimate Frisbee.
