This Week in Wellness: Aerial arts + Japanese beauty salons + Jetpack

Aerial workout

Ever dreamt of becoming a Cirque du Soleil performer? You can now realize that dream…well, almost. Recently opened studio Simply Yoga offers a series of aerial arts classes that will teach you how to perform tricks on a trapeze, hoop and silks with ease. Prices start at $200 for 8 weekly lessons of an aerial foundation course. It’s a great core and upper body workout, plus you’ll have truckloads of fun while you’re at it.

New beauty salon

New Japanese beauty salon Miss Paris and Dandy House features a unisex concept, with Miss Paris (rather obviously) catering to women, and Dandy House, to the men. The salon specializes in a host of slimming treatments and hair removal services, as well as the signature Sea Salt Massage ($260), a detoxifying rubdown which uses original sea salt from Japan’s Seto Inland Sea.
