Dim lights, pulsing music and sweaty bodies… but this isn’t a club

Good job for purchasing a cool bike from one of these wheely good bike shops. But if you’ve lost your mojo and are asphyxiating after some 200 meters, there’s a new gym in town to polish your groove.

Enter 7Cycle, a brand new boutique indoor cycling studio that can help you nail that nonchalant, cycle-chic image. It’s definitely one of the swankiest gyms we’ve seen in awhile: the three-storey, 4,000 sq. ft. facility houses a 36-bike amphitheater-style studio, complete with a high-tech sound system and programmable LEDs. The ambience’s pretty club, what with the dimly-lit surrounds and electro beats. Classes are pretty intense here—look forward to 45-minute rhythm-based rides set to compelling soundtracks—but the music’s so good you might just forget how tired you are. Plus, your performance will actually be tracked by a special PerformanceIQ system via wattage consoles and heart rate monitors.

Other facilities include a 10-bike functional training studio, as well as an organic cold-pressed juice bar run by local juice company hic’Juice (evidently, the juicing fad isn’t about to die down anytime soon). There are also full men’s and women’s locker and shower facilities, where you can clean up nice with organic amenities from John Masters Organics.

There are no monthly or registration fees at 7Cycle—instead, classes are sold individually for $45 or in bundles up to 50 classes (going as low as $29 a class). You can also purchase a one-week unlimited trial for $49; visit www.7cycle.sg for more info.
