There’s now a great-sounding alternative to fancy gym memberships, and it doesn’t involve tai chi in the park. Oh, and it’s free.
The Health Promotion Board (HPB) is offering a range of free classes between 7:30-9am as part of their Sunrise in the City program. Some 13 gyms across 26 locations now offer all sorts of early morning fitness classes, ranging from hot yoga and Zumba to Bokwa and circuit training at gyms like True Fitness, Fitness First and Physical Abuse. Head here for class schedules and here to book your slot.
If you’re rushing during the week, there are also activities at Sundays @ the Park. Pick from classes like Zumba, Bollywood-themed aerobics, kickboxing and Piloxing that happen at parks from Choa Chu Kang Park and Sembawang Park to Sengkang Riverside Park. For more info and to register, head here.
For more flexible timing, there are daily free fitness classes at the Sports Hub that come with slots throughout the week. Classes available range from SuperFit Functional Training, Cardio Blast and yoga. Head here for more info.
Sure, it’s hopeless for everyone except for early risers, but we’re impressed by how trendy the offerings are.
