Famed fitness studios like Barry’s Bootcamp and Absolute You are online too

It’s not easy finding the motivation to work out, much less when you’re stuck at home. Knowing this, many fitness studios which have temporarily shuttered due to the government-mandated closure of non-essential businesses have since taken their classes online so fitness enthusiasts may be able stay in shape while staying indoors. From HIIT options to barre classes, here are seven gyms that are now offering fun workout sessions online.

Absolute You Singapore

One of the first few studios to jump on the home gym bandwagon, popular spin studio Absolute You has one hell of a fitness package. For $650 (not inclusive of deposit and delivery), receive a rental bike, a pair of clip-in shoes, dumbbells, and unlimited access to both Singapore and Bangkok’s Absolute You live stream cycling sessions. If you already have your own bike and equipment, feel free to subscribe to their live stream sessions for just $350.

Barre Lab

If you’re a fan of barre workouts, go ahead and check out Barre Lab’s classes online. To participate, download the MindBody app that allows you to book sessions. Just sign-up or sign-in under Lab Studios North Canal, and you’ll be guided on how to partake in the classes hosted on Zoom. Pay-as-you-go, or use your existing class package if you have one with the studio. And if you require barre props, head over to Barre Lab’s website to order some.

Barry’s Bootcamp Singapore

Notoriously brutal gym Barry’s Bootcamp Singapore is now in the mix too. Besides offering classes that feature bodyweight exercises, the studio also sticks to its traditional methods with their combined treadmill runs and strength training ones. To join, simply buy a class and book in on the Barry’s app, then receive a unique link to view the session 20 minutes before it begins. Looks like you’ll be able to get your Barry’s fix even at home.

BoOm Singapore

Going live on Instagram as frequently as three times a week, BoOm Singapore is here to give you your much-needed dose of HIIT boxing sessions. Check their Instagram page for their weekly schedules; they often go live in the mornings so be sure to rise early to get in shape with their instructors. But if you require your beauty rest, fret not. The fitness studio records those live sessions and will share them later again on IGTV and Vimeo as well.

Evolve MMA

If you’ve always wanted to be trained by world-class athletes and fighters, here’s your chance. Evolve MMA goes live on Facebook daily with world champions in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing and more. Most recently, BJJ world champion Jucimar Eller and WBA Boxing world champion Drian Francisco have made appearances to teach fighting fundamentals.

Haus Athletics

Continuing to deliver their three most beloved classes via live sessions on Zoom is fitness studio Haus Athletics. And these workouts come at very affordable rates too; each live session will only set you back $12, while three sessions go for $30. Plus, the fitness studio is now offering a promotion—book one class, and get the second one free. One of our favourite gyms around, Haus is making it far easier to stay in shape.

Yoga Lab

Just like their sister studio Barre Lab, Yoga Lab organises online classes during this circuit breaker period. Download the MindBody app, sign-up or sign-in under Yoga Lab Raffles, and either fork out $5 per class or use your ongoing class package to book a session. Not only will you remain trim and fit at home, you’ll also be doing the studio a favour by supporting their instructors.
