Purchase movie tickets, tote bags and more to help tide over The Projector

To say that the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has greatly disrupted businesses is putting it mildly. With the recent government-mandated closure of bars, clubs and entertainment venues, many local establishments have not been spared, including arthouse cinema The Projector.

Since the new rule broke last week, The Projector has taken it to social media to address the closure of its premises and share more information regarding their current situation.

It’s not cheap to run a venue like The Projector, and the temporary shutdown puts the cinema and bar at a major loss of income. No surprises there. But it’s not all bad news, ‘cause if you want and can afford to help, here’s your chance to do some good.

Over at their online gift shop, find tons of cool merchandise for you to show your support for the independent theatre, like tote bags, movie tickets, membership packages and more. Feeling particularly generous? Donate to their cause, or adopt a seat—for $120, your name will be engraved onto one of the vintage cinema seats in the Blue Room.

So don’t let everyone’s favourite indie film spot go dark for too long; send some love their way. We know we’ll be supporting them as much as we can.
