Hey party people, heading out for a shindig now may not be possible, but don’t let that stop you from having a good time at home—especially not when Singapore’s biggest nightclub Marquee is throwing one heck of a first anniversary party, albeit a virtual one.
Come May 22, from 9pm-1am, three highly sought after DJs—Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki and Andrew Rayel—will be performing live on Marquee’s Zoom and Twitch channels. That’s four hours of non-stop dance hits that’ll definitely make you forget about your pandemic blues. And did we mention that it’s free?
It’s not just heart thumping music either, but a full shebang. Expect Marquee dancers to be performing, a Marquee academy ceremony to be held, special birthday shoutouts to all online, plus a best DIY headdress showdown (more deets below) as well.
Starting today, Marquee will also be rolling interactive activities on their social media platforms for fans to have fun while getting a chance to win prizes and even be featured live during the party on May 22.
There’s the DIY Headdress Challenge where you’re encouraged to create your own unique headwear that incorporates items that reminds you of Marquee Singapore. Once done, snap a photo of yourself wearing the gear and post it on Instagram, using the hashtag #WePartyPurple and tagging Marquee Singapore.
If TikTok is more your speed, then take part in a dance challenge that’ll have you follow a dance choreography done by the Marquee Singapore team. Put your own creative spin on it, then share the dance video on TikTok as well as on Instagram with the same hashtag and tag.
That’s not all. This event is just the start of a new series of virtual clubbing experiences by Marquee happening through June. Expect big names like Dash Berlin, Paul Van Dyk, Dannic and more to be bringing their best sets online. Details will be made available on Marquee’s social channels.
So mark your calendars party people—you won’t want to miss the weeks of home revelries to come.
