Zouk is throwing the ultimate virtual party before May ends

Virtual partying has become somewhat commonplace the last couple of months, with anything from big anniversary parties to more intimate shenanigans heading to the digital space for your music-fuelled social convenience.

It makes sense then that partygoers have come to expect more. And now, none other than homegrown nightclub Zouk is taking it to the next level with Zouk Phuturescapes, a multi-day global rave that transcends all our usual expectations of what a virtual party can be.

Happening across three days from May 29-31 via Zoom, Phuturescapes first kicks off in the United States before heading to Singapore and ending with a bang in the United Kingdom. Of course, being a virtual party, anyone from around the world can tune in to the livestream on Zouk’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Those joining via Zoom however get to enjoy the interactive features, and only up to a thousand guests can register for each of the party days. Expect there to be a whole bunch of virtual backgrounds of various iconic Singapore spots you can use, polls, giveaways, audience spotlights, as well as augmented reality filters on Instagram to play around with.

The revelry starts at 11pm (US EST) on the first day, with headliner Diplo, Singapore’s own Yung Raja, and Zouk stalwarts Inquisitive and LeNERD helming the decks. Then on the second day, local DJ KoFlow and Zouk resident Nash D will be layin’ on the beats thick and heavy from 8pm (SGT), alongside familiar names like Benjamin Kheng and legendary Dutch producer San Holo.

For the final rave night on Sunday, expect a strong showing of female DJs with headliner Christina Novelli being accompanied by local starlet Jasmine Sokko and Zouk favourite Che’Molly. It starts early at 5pm (London time), but who is keeping track nowadays anyway?

There will even be a virtual dance floor for you to get your boogie on, and with hosts ShiGGa Shay and Hanli Hoefer keeping things lively, you bet it’s gonna be a biggie.

Zouk Phuturescapes takes place from from May 29-31 via Zoom. Livestream can be viewed via Zouk’s Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as through Singapore Tourism Board’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
