As digital events go, this upcoming virtual fashion festival is shaping up to be a promising one.
Coming to your screens from Aug 20-29 is the inaugural edition of The Front Row, a 10-day fashion bonanza organised by Daniel Boey Creatives and AP Media dedicated to embracing the new normal in fashion retail.
Fully online, the festival will be free-to-view, inclusive, season-less and accessible from the comfort of your own home—as long as you have an internet connection.
Expect a whole slate of activities throughout the event. There will be virtual runway shows (of course), motion editorials, fashion filmlets, interactive talks and workshops, and even backstage access to see the inner workings of the festival.
There will also be a focus on showcasing Singaporean and regional designers, as well as shining the spotlight on the importance of sustainability in the industry.
Brands participating in The Front Row include Elohim by Sabrina Goh, GINLEE Studio, Graye, Olive Ankara and Reckless Ericka to name a few.
To show your support for these labels, feel free to make your purchases on the spot at the Virtual Fashion Village, an online marketplace that’s meant to simulate the wonders of a real-life shopping experience through interactive elements.
The Front Row is slated to take place twice a year. Find out more about the event as the details roll out through the coming weeks here.
