Self-proclaimed Jedis, rebel heroes, and even Sith Lords, listen up. Here’s your chance to bag some extra cool merchandise and bragging rights this Star Wars Day, which falls on the ever-punny May 4.
Check out the new and interesting Star Wars Virtual Run, happening to keep everyone in shape, all while abiding by the current social distancing guidelines and measures. Besides, it’s simple. Just choose your side and complete the movie franchise-inspired virtual run to earn your well-deserved trophy.
Start by registering for the virtual run on the Move by Liv3ly app or website, before using the Move app to track your run. Then complete the stipulated distance anytime and anywhere (on the treadmill, at the park, etc.), to receive a finisher’s trophy.
Open to anyone aged 18 years or older, the competition extends to six Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, as well as the Philippines. However, those participating in the run in Indonesia have to be at least 21 years of age—don’t ask us why.
Now, in a galaxy far far away, join the 5.4km category which is organised in commemoration of May 4, or the 40km run, which is a celebration of The Empire Strikes Back’s 40th anniversary. The former will require all participants to go solo (no pun intended); while the latter will allow folks to buddy up to finish the immensely long run. Plus, the much lengthier competition is giving away both a 40km finisher’s trophy and limited edition 40th Anniversary Gold Darth Vader trophy.
If you don’t foresee yourself being able to complete the entire run at one go, fret not. Both categories are giving all participants the chance to take it slow. The race officially begins May 4, but you’ll have till May 31 to wrap things up.
So all that’s left to do is to register for the Star Wars Virtual Run through the Move by Liv3ly app or over here. Oh, and may force be with you.
Star Wars Virtual Run happens May 4-31 and costs $25 to enter. More information available here.
