When in Clarke Quay, everyone seems to enjoy hanging out on Read Bridge (sometimes affectionately known as Puke Bridge). Knowing this, instead of getting you to dine at one of the many restaurants there, the people behind Singapore’s famed nightlife district is bringing the food to you instead.
From Dec 5-9, Read Bridge will be the site for the inaugural The Great Clarke Quay Feastival, a pop-up dining event where some of your favorite Clarke Quay restaurants will be offering their best in a vibrant street food format. Over the four days, which includes the weekend, 15 outlets will set up shop on the bridge from 6pm-11pm offering dishes ranging from $10-$32.
Expect cuisine like the signature pork chop buns from Tsui Wah, hearty bowls of noodles from Ramen Keisuke Lobster King, prawn twister with sweet Thai chili sauce from RedTail Bar, pork knuckle sliders from newly opened Deutschlander, and many more. There’s even deliciously creamy durian pengat—just follow your noses—available from Ellenborough Market Cafe.
And instead of chugging bottles from 7-Eleven (leave that for another day), enjoy proper cocktails, wines and craft beers sold right there on the bridge as you tune in to live music by familiar bands and DJs that usually play at the nearby venues. The best part? Have your pick from the many bars, clubs and eateries found just metres away to continue the feasting and drinking after the event’s over.
