You can now head up to 1-Altitude for the world’s highest alfresco dining experience

The pivoting of bars and nightclubs in Singapore has been undeniable. With their reopening dates still unknown (given current pandemic restrictions), many have turned to dining as part of their gameplan to keep business going.

The world’s highest alfresco bar, the famed 1-Altitude at Raffles Place, is no exception. Its rooftop dancefloor coupled with its amazing sky-high views has made it one of the must-go destinations in Singapore for many tourists and locals.

But now, given current circumstances, it has been transformed into a dual-concept gastro dining space, one that undoubtedly still makes full use of those gorgeous panoramas it’s endowed with.

For a proper sit-down dinner, Stellar at 1-Altitude, located on the 62nd floor, now offers its menu up on the rooftop level as well, allowing you to feast on modern Australian cuisine while taking in the sights and enjoying the natural breeze.

You can order from Stellar’s ala carte menu, but we’d highly recommend going for the 5-Course Elements ($150, minimum two to dine) tasting menu, which is a great showcase of fresh produce (including locally-farmed bass) and Chef Christopher Millar’s culinary skills.

The course menu comes inclusive of their highly aesthetic, yet thoroughly edible and delicious Dessert Art platter as well, where pastry chefs will serve you tableside with creations that are almost too beautiful to eat.

The other concept completing the offerings up on the rooftop is the 1-Altitude Gastro Lounge. Here, find an elevated menu inspired by Singaporean flavours. Think chilli crab pasta ($30) and satay platters ($36), as well as classic bar grub like margherita pizza ($22) and buffalo wings ($14).

As for drinks, the standards are all available. But if you’re feeling playful, a new alcoholic bubble tea menu is now available too. All $16, try the Teh Amore for a fruity, bourbon-based drink topped with cheese foam. Or go for the Cha Cha Bomb for a floral and citrusy BBT packing a botanical gin punch.

And in case you don’t know it yet, the usual cover charge fees for 1-Altitude has been waived till further notice, since it isn’t a club anymore (for now).

This means one and all are free to ascend the skyscraper to admire the Singapore skyline, soak in the chill vibes, all while having your dining and drinking needs sorted.
