Sommelier services, drinks at retail prices and more at this new bottle shop

The next time you’re in the mood for vino (and not the lousy kind), The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is the place to be.

Recently taking over one of the lobby level units of the hotel is Grand Cru Wine Concierge, a wine retail space manned by proper sommeliers (and not cashiers), and where you can purchase bottles for consumption right there. Yes, that means you can buy wines at retail prices and enjoy them at the hotel’s South Courtyard located right outside the shop—you just gotta add on the typical service charge.

At the South Courtyard, you can get wines by the glass too, for as low as $8.50 during Happy Hour from 6.30-8pm. Feel free to pair them with nibbles like satay and cheese platters, or full plates of hokkien mee and burgers.

If you fancy yourself a connoisseur, you’ll be glad to know that Grand Cru boasts a wide range of 100-pointer wines (rated by the likes of Robert Parker and Wine Spectator) for you to peruse and enjoy. Of the over 500 labels available, more than 30 score 100.

Oenophiles know that points aren’t everything of course, and that’s why you’ll want to engage with the sommeliers there to find out more about the vintages available. And for the collectors out there, they even offer a wine concierge service, where they’ll help you source for vinos beyond their already sizable stock.

Grand Cru Wine Concierge opens Mon-Sat, 11am-8pm; Grand Cru at South Courtyard opens Mon-Sat, 6.30pm-12am at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
