On the back of Ultra Singapore 2019 in June pulling a last-minute change of venue to an indoor one, and the annual Laneway Singapore usually held in January being postponed indefinitely (which we think is just a coy way to say cancelled), comes a promising new music festival that might just be what we need.
The very first Legacy Dance Music Festival is set to take place this Dec 6-7 at Siloso Beach, with none other than legendary DJs Tiesto and Don Diablo announced as headliners in their first phase lineup. Other acts to expect include Cosmic Gate, Mark Sixma and Swanky Tunes, with more to come in phase two slated for September.
Further details are scant, but we know that it’ll be going by the theme “A New Dawn”, and that the stage will be a high-tech one merging music, digital art and immersive technology to enhance the party experience. You’ll also get radio-controlled wristbands that will be triggered simultaneously at highpoints to create stunning visual effects.
Legacy is the brainchild of Singapore DJ Andrew T (so we know we’re in good hands), alongside other local co-conspirators that are all veterans in the entertainment scene here, making it a truly homegrown dance music festival.
Legacy Dance Music Festival happens Dec 6-7 at Siloso Beach. Tickets are $130 for one-day and $180 for two-day passes. Early bird tickets, $90 for one-day and $150 for two-day, go on sale Aug 31 at 11am. UOB cardholders can purchase a day earlier on Aug 30 from 12pm.
