It feels like the whole world has descended upon our shores for the historic meeting of Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump, what with over 2,500 international journalists and delegates from the US and North Korea already in Singapore ahead of the Jun 12 summit at Capella Singapore in Sentosa.
Just across the Sentosa boardwalk however, a different kind of summit is set to take place at the top of Bay Hotel Singapore a day after on Jun 13, and everyone’s invited to this one. From 7pm till late, Propeller is set to be the venue for the “Official” Trump-Kim Summit Afterparty as Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump impersonators Howard X and Dennis Alan get ready let loose to K-pop and American hits with fellow revelers.
In line with the summit theme, the bar is also offering a party drink, cheekily named the New Clear Bomb ($17), made using a mix of American Bourbon, Makgeolli and a Korean clear soda, and is meant to be drunk as you would a bomb shot.
Whether you’re involved in the summit happenings or not, this seems like a great way to shake off all the seriousness and politicking while partying with a view of the actual summit location in the background. Poetic.
