Like many, we were crushed when Clarke Quay institution Shanghai Dolly shuttered for good in April. No more luxurious cabaret vibes or Shanghai-chic party nights out; the place remained mysteriously shut for the next few months. But now all has been revealed—in place of the iconic nightclub, an all-new concept is set to open, and it’s just as deliciously gimmicky.
Holey Moley will be Singapore’s first all-in-one mini golf club and bar, bringing the joy of putt-putt to the Clarke Quay area. Across two floors, 27 holes will be dotted around the massive space—which has the capacity to host up to 450 guests. And because everyone loves a quirky mini golf course, each hole pays homage to a range of pop culture themes and TV shows—there are scenes from The Simpsons, Game of Thrones, E.T and even Monopoly.
Best of all, you’ll be able to putt to your heart’s content always with a drink in hand. Grab unique cocktails at the bar like Candy Man, a sugary margarita with blended jelly beans and topped with fairy floss, or more familiar drinks like a Putta Colada and Austin Sour. For food, you can expect to chow down on signature burgers, meter-long pizzas and a range of sharing plates. DJs will be on venue to spin all night long.
Brought in by Australian company Funlab, Holey Moley at Clarke Quay will be the brand’s first outlet in Singapore, with its other 10 spread across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. It’s a while more to go (the place opens Dec 6), but we’re already shining up our golfing shoes in anticipation.
Holey Moley Golf Club opens Dec 6 at #01-01, 3B River Valley Road. More information here.
