Bang Bang revamped, reopened—and removed their cover charge

Unbeknownst to even the most happening of clubbers, mega party place Bang Bang had a secret little makeover the last month, and officially reopened last week to unveil its brand new look. Most shocking of all—the nightlife institution has completely eliminated cover charge, making it the first nightclub in Singapore to do so.

It’s an extremely unexpected move, given the club’s consistent success and steady flow of party-goers since its conception in 2014; the new rule even extends to men. Previously, cover charge was $35 on the weekend (including one drink) for guys, and free for ladies before 12:30am. Still, we’re not complaining—it just means we’ll be spending more weekend nights over at Pan Pacific Hotel.

As part of the newly revamped interior, look forward to a design concept that’s heavy on the bling. The neon lit tunnel at the entrance will take you to an all-new metallic destination-bar, where a statement bottle vault showcases hand-painted bejewelled bottles by local artists. A newly raised dancefloor boasts pulsating lights and UV-coated diamond dance cage—double the size of the previous one. Mirrored ceilings and illusion infinity tables, some equipped with a CO2 party gun (not sure how safe that’s gonna be) complete the look, with high-energy light shows taking place weekly.

Another intriguing addition to the Bang Bang experience is the introduction of a “co-clubbing movement”—where smaller groups of friends can share tables and bottle service, and essentially achieve the VIP table experience for less. We’re chuckling now at the idea, but for all you know it could very well turn into the next big party trend.

Now that cover charge is out of the way, you might want to pay a little more attention to the club’s dress code. Guys are advised to wear long pants, button-down shirts and shoes; cocktail attire and heels are preferred for the ladies. Dress as you please, but your fate rests in the hands of the person at the door.

Bang Bang is located at 7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square, and opens from 10pm till late. More info here
