Perhaps the only thing more exciting than the return of Singapore’s most anticipated beer event is the news that it will no longer be held at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Last year’s godforsaken venue did beer lovers everywhere no favors, 500 beers available or not. The 2018 edition, thankfully, has chosen a new venue: The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay, conveniently located across Bayfront MRT station.
In less petty news, Beerfest Asia 2018 also happens to be the festival’s 10th anniversary, happening Aug 30-Sep 2. As such, expect a supersized edition, with the bigger venue and an even larger range of local and international beers; over 600, up from last year’s 500. To celebrate the decade, Beerfest Asia will also be working with 10 breweries around the world to create 10 custom, limited-edition Birthday Beers that will only be available at the Beerfest Asia 2018 X Edition.
On top of that, look forward to five tents of live music performances and DJ acts, as well as a sizeable selection of food options ranging from German bar bites to local delights. For hopheads who take their beer very seriously, you can catch the Asia Beer Awards or attend a free beer workshop, conducted by brewers and beer brand ambassadors.
