Former OCBC Bank at Chinatown transforms into new bar, The Vault

7,000 square feet of bar and lounge space The Vault, the result of restoration work on the former OCBC Bank in Chinatown, opens tomorrow.
The discreet entrance reveals nothing of its interiors and is marked by an actual vault door from the bank that weighs a ton. This cool, sophisticated space houses The Vault Bistro (opening mid July) on the ground floor and The Vault Lounge & Bar on level two. Here, lounge lizards can indulge in sultry jazz before things get shaken up after 9pm by resident soundmasters, as well as guest DJs on Saturdays.
Booze-wise, expect to see the usual suspects—beer, wine, vodka, whiskey, gin and what have we. Drinks start from $12 and prices are nett—what you see is what you get.
