Hot on the heels of bar-restaurant-hotel Rabbit Carrot Gun comes sister establishment The Trenchard Arms, a new bar next door specializing in craft beers and ales.
This very British gastropub is the perfect spot to nurse a pint of Blonde Bombshell (a pretty but assertive wheat beer) or Digger (deep porter ale with lots of character). Judging by the success of Rabbit Carrot Gun’s locally-brewed Buckshot Ale (also served here), we won’t be too surprised if these two get their own followings too.
Food isn’t just an afterthought, either. Chef Jane Glascow will be dishing out British favorites like fish and chips, Scotch eggs, potted shrimp, and pies to go with the beers.
Scurry on down to The Trenchard Arms from 11am onwards on Mar 29 (Good Friday). They’re celebrating the opening with a lucky draw, so you just might win a staycation at one of their luxe in-house suites.
