The recipe is simple: five cocktail bars, five gin concoctions, five samples of gin and a ride to chauffeur you around as an expert in all things gin-related regale you about the humble beginnings of the spirit and its connection to Singapore.
That’s the gist behind Gin Journey, a regular experiential bar tour set to take off here starting Jun 9 in tandem with World Gin Day. It’s being brought over to our shores from the same guys behind the event in London, where it first started back in 2013, and has grown in popularity ever since. Singapore is the first city outside the UK where Gin Journey will take place.
It’s a regular bar hop happening every Saturday from 2-7pm, so even if you miss the inaugural edition here, you can look forward to the next one. On these tours, expect to visit some of Singapore’s best cocktail bars like The Proof Flat by EC Proof, Atlas and 28 HongKong Street, and have a taste of craft gins such as Paper Lantern, Ki No Bi, Arbikie, Ford’s and Sipsmith—so you can be sure you’ll be well taken care of.
