As if Mark Sargeant’s three-storey gastrobar hasn’t already been shaking things up in the local cocktail and dining scene, there’s a new addition at the Oxwell & Co. family—an intimate rooftop bar on the fourth floor overlooking Chinatown and Club Street with a panorama of the CBD to boot.
The small yet cozy space here has an ultra laidback, British evening tea party vibe with simple, rustic looking furniture, dim lighting and a refurbished telephone booth for that added yesteryears effect. Adding to this are the leafy aromas wafting from the urban herb garden beside that gives the space a rugged, garden-esque vibe. Designed exclusively with Hendrick’s Gin, the rooftop bar also features a namesake cocktail menu that feature botanical elements from their herb garden. They’re still tweaking the cocktail menu at the moment but you can expect solid G&T offerings like Bathtime ($60) featuring a refreshing cucumber and thyme punch bowl concoction thats perfect for sharing or the Clover Club Street ($22)—a rich, flavorful botanical cocktail.
