Johnny Walker’s crème-de-la-crème Blue Label has been given quite the makeover by Porsche Design Studio. The bottle and the whisky are still the same, of course, but Porsche have really done a number on its case. Using brushed steel and bicast leather (and opening at a 24 degree angle symbolic of the Johnny Walker label tilt) they’ve created the Johnny Walker Blue Label Cube, Mini Cube and Chiller.
The Mini Cube ($600, 120 pieces available) comes with two glasses, the tongs and a smaller ice-bucket; and the Chiller ($344, 480 pieces available) is similar to other special edition Johnny Walker cases, with the top functioning as a small ice receptacle.
You can order the Chillers direct from Möet Hennessey Diageo (6838-9800) and pre-order the Cubes and Mini Cubes which will arrive in January next year.
