There’s nothing quite like a small ceramic cup of sake to go with your sashimi, sushi or shabu-shabu. Or is there? On November 30 and December 1, Kuriya Penthouse will host an event called Danger Night, where wine and sake will go head to head in a seven-course Japanese dinner ($260).
Sushi and sashimi will be served not just with Reisen sake from Gyokusendo Shuzou brewery but also Italian wines from Castello Banfi. Representatives from both the brewery and winery will be present. Decide for yourself what works best with top-class Japanese fare.
