Discreetly located in The Sail at Marina Bay, the swanky watering hole is a hidden, New York City-inspired lounge helmed by the same folks behind popular CBD restaurant Miss Fitz Kitchen + Bar.
Boasting an air of exclusivity, Roxy is quite the glamorous speakeasy as the cool 20-seater can only be accessed through an unmarked door at The Sail or a passageway at the back of Miss Fitz. It is bathed in a scarlet red hue and decorated with photographs of iconic NYC musicians, artists and socialites, bringing to life the grit and glamour of the era.
The cocktail menu at Roxy provides an unexpected, ‘70s rock ‘n’ roll twist to the simplicity of classic, spirit-forward drinks typical of an old-world back room bar. Here, toast to special occasions with highlights such as the mai tai-inspired CBGB Swizzle and The New York Dolls Sour (a whiskey sour concocted with American apple brandy and named after the legendary 1970s glam metal band).
In addition to the signature cocktails, Roxy also offers cocktail flights, each featuring three variations of a classic. Explore different base spirits by speaking to the wait team led by head bartender Tash Nayar, who brings 10 years of industry experience to his second concept launch as head bartender (previously at Miss Fitz).
For those who like it strong yet straightforward, opt for the menu selection of boilermakers. Serving a glass of shot alongside a pint of beer, Roxy’s bespoke shots combine spirits with aromatic bitters, fortified wines or flavourful liqueurs to ensure they are perfect for pairing with a rotating menu of brown ale, IPA or stout.
The bar bites at this hidden gem will also entice guests. Offering New York-inspired mains in bite-sized portions, eats like Bagel Popcorn and Pastrami Sandwich Bites are must-trys.
