The wait is over: this weekend, the fine folks behind The Vault unveil their new premium club Kyō, a luxe space occupying the basement of Keck Seng Tower along Cecil St.
Disappear underground via a dramatic stairwell and emerge in the 6,000 sq. ft den, where modern minimalism meets traditional Japanese influences with plenty of rough-hewn stone, bronze and recycled wood.
The centerpiece here has to be the 24m-long bar—possibly the longest in Singapore—which will serve up lavish liquors, wines and champagne, with a special focus on fine Japanese whiskeys and sakes. Look forward to pairing these drinks with Japanese gourmet tapas starting April.
The musical pedigree of the Kyō team shows in its curated roster of a dozen local resident DJs and international guests. With an emphasis on quality, playlists feature a distinct genre and mood on each night of the week. Of note is their cutting-edge Saturday nights, bound to please the most sophisticated of musical appetites.
Head on down and get a taste of this space as it throws open its doors on Friday and Saturday.
