Old Kallang Airport will be the epicenter for Singapore’s burgeoning urban arts and music scene this month

Parties at the old Kallang Airport are always a doozy: Calvin Klein celebrated its milestones in Asia in 2014; luxury French fashion label Hermes threw The Men On The Move party and revealed their latest men’s collection that same year; and we partied like it was the 40s’ and 50s’ at The O.P.E.N.’s Club Malam last June. Coming up next is  a massive lineup of the some great performers and artists from the local urban arts communities and entertainment coming together for One Solid Day Out.

This urban arts festival is essentially the three-way brainchild of Recognize Studios working hand in hand with party nights “Together with One Music” and “Solid Gold”, bringing together Singapore’s most notable collectives. From 1pm all the way till the wee hours of the morning, local collectives like Syndicate, Solid Gold Sound System Dark Than Wax, Pushin’ On, Lion Steppaz Sound will take turns to drop some crazy beats at the iconic space, along side DJs, singers and rappers such as Aldrin, Mr. Has, Oliver Osborne, Sam Rui and others.

Of course, a festival wouldn’t be complete without fringe activities: from live graffiti paint-off and a dance competition, you’re bound to find something to do. Pre-sale tickets are going for $25 a pop, and includes a free drink.
