When news first hit in June last year that Tao Group’s Marquee Singapore Nightclub will be opening at Marina Bay Sands, we were in awe of its promised highlight centrepiece—a 21-metre high indoor ferris wheel with eight pods you can go for a ride in. We can only imagine how this will change the clubbing experience.
Now almost a year later, not only will we all finally be able to see this marvel in the flesh, but get the full works worthy of the international Marquee name during their grand opening weekend. Come Apr 12-13, world-renowned DJs Tiesto and Afrojack will be taking over the decks of Asia’s first Marquee club, where familiar pulsing tunes the likes of “Red Light” and “Ten Feet Tall” will keep you enthralled on the dancefloor.
Tiesto will be taking charge on the first evening on Friday, while his fellow Dutch producer Afrojack will keep it lit on Saturday night along with a mystery guest DJ that’ll be announced at a later date.
You can expect more biggie guest DJs to come in even after the club’s opening nights, and the best way to stay tuned to the latest will be via their Facebook page. For now, get tickets to the opening party while you can; or just show up and hope to get limited tickets at the door.
Marquee Singapore Nightclub is at #B1-67 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets cost $20-$38 for the opening weekend parties, inclusive of one house pour drink. Doors open 11pm on Apr 12 and 10pm on Apr 13.
