Popular bar The Vault is moving out of its current location at the end of October and will reopen on 23 Circular Road, promising to liven up the Boat Quay vicinity.
The new space will occupy a sprawling 5,500 sq. ft. spread over four shophouse units, split into a 40-seater Kitchen (Mon-Sat 11am onwards) for bistro dining an 80-seater Lounge (Wed-Thu 7pm-2am; Fri-Sat 7pm-3am) for drinking and dancing.
Expect a similar aesthetic at the new digs with lots of dark brick and metal for a New York vibe. Even the same three-tonne historic vault door will be reinstalled at the new premises.
As for art and music events, there’s the usual mix of exhibitions (the next one is by local artist Sufian Samsiyar, opening November 28, 8pm), Sunday Artists Market (December 8, 1-6pm) and resident DJs. There are also plans to bring the party onto the street on car-free nights (6pm-1am on Fridays and Saturdays).
Look out for more offerings along Circular Road by the same folks behind The Vault and Kyo. Meanwhile, say goodbye to the original Chinatown space at this weekend’s farewell bashes, No Party Here presents Loefah and Halloween Special: The Asylum.
