Where to watch the World Cup in Singapore

25 Degrees at Hotel G

This West Coast burger and liquor joint is better known for its American-style burgers and drinks. But this season, they’re opening their space for football fans who want to chow down on a juicy burger and ice cold beers while watching live screenings of the World Cup matches. Full schedule here. Bar Bar Black Sheep (Cluny Court)

This affordable watering hole is casual, laid-back and comfortable, so no one’s gonna judge you for turning up in your soccer jerseys, berms and flip flops. There’s absolutely no GST or service charge, all day err’day, but there’s a minimum spend of $50 per person. Boulevard (BLVD)

BQ Bar

The unpretentious and modern bar is often packed on the weekends with both locals and expats alike, contributing to the lively atmosphere along the riverside. And when it does get too crowded, there’s always the alfresco terrace you can retreat to. It’s usually people’s go-to, especially with such a huge screen to enjoy the matches and a wide selection of brews. Talk about a good view. While you’re not all the way in Russia, you will get to soak in the action while perched on Marina Bay Sands’ famed rooftop spot. Chijmes

It’s pretty much one of the most central hubs to go to experience the rush of each FIFA World Cup matches, with its locale just minutes away from City Hall MRT (yes, don’t drink and drive). Community Clubs

Too lazy to get out of your neighborhood, but too cheap to get a subscription at home? The next best thing will be your community club. Keeping in line with a kind of tradition, People’s Association will be screening live broadcasts of all the matches at 55 community clubs across Singapore. Various locations
 

Court Martial Bar

 

Enjoy the matches in the comfort of a classy cocktail bar at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach’s Court Martial Bar, where screenings will take place daily on their 65-inch TV. Harry’s

Who doesn’t know Harry’s? They’re one of Singapore’s pioneers in the sports bar scene. Of course they’ll be screening the World Cup on their flatscreens and projector screens. KPO Cafe Bar

In case you prefer to stay away from the bars at Boat Quay, you can also head over to KPO with your buddies. McDonald’s

Yes, everyone almost lost their shit when they announced that the highly anticipated McGriddles would return and be served all day. They’ll also be debuting their Chicken Pizza Kicks, Happy Sharing Box (Fifa World Cup Edition), Party McFlurry (hot fudge and crunchy) and a couple of other items in time for you to enjoy and watch the matches at the same time. McGettigan’s

As one of Singapore’s hottest sports bar and the place to be in Clarke Quay for all things live sporting action, it’s usually a no-brainer. Mezza9 at Grand Hyatt

With a staggering number of delish martinis up its sleeve, this enduring cocktail lounge in the heart of Orchard Road, on the mezzanine level of Grand Hyatt Singapore, makes for a great pit stop in between those shopping day trips. But that’s not all this spot is good for. Muddy Murphy’s

Whenever there’s big game on, locals and visitors alike will gather around the old fashioned bar for a bit of good-natured rivalry, complete with impromptu renditions of team songs and chants. Paulaner Singapore Clarke Quay

Drink all you can throughout the duration of every World Cup match at Paulaner for $38 nett (it’s not limited to just beers, by the way). Propeller

This breezy spot is the first rooftop bar in the Harbourfront district of Singapore. Beach bars are just a stone’s throw away, but this cocktail bar features affordable drinks and bites to accompany your evenings lounging on the airy establishment’s many plush seats. Resorts World Sentosa

Over at Resorts World Sentosa, they’re transforming their theater and ballroom into an immersive space to get you in the heart of the World Cup. Round of 16 and quarter-final matches will be held in the former, where there’ll be seats made to look like you’re at a sports arena, while the semis and final matches will held at the latter, which will be transformed into a football stadium complete with soccer turf, flood lights and super-wide 270-degree screens. Screening Room

A big screen for private viewing parties, F&B packages, and non-stop football action–that’s what Screening Room is offering at its Ann Siang home. The catch? Nothing big, fortunately. All you need is a minimum spend of about $40 per person. #03-00, 12 Ann Siang Rd. 6532-3357
 

Timbre+

For the first time, the gastropark over at Buona Vista will be screening a total of 33 matches live on a huge LED screen at their courtyard. You can take part in a variety of activities ranging from guessing the winner of each match (three lucky winners who guessed correctly will win something) to playing beer pong jenga.
