Following the well-received announcement that ZoukOut would be returning to its one-day format (shoutout to the OGs!), the festival just dropped news that Dutch production and DJ duo W&W will be joining as the second international headliner, together with favorites Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
W&W is the stage name of Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst, who entered the DJ scene more than a decade ago in 2007. Their hard-hitting track “Mustard” first caught the attention of top DJs such as Tiesto and David Guetto, and saw them rise to #36 on the DJ Mag Polls by 2011. They soon released more festival staples like “Shotgun” and “Jumper” with Hardwell, no less, earning them their current #14 spot on the polls.
Known for their multi-dimensional sound across the trance, electro house and progressive house genre, the band’s hits like “The Code” and “Bigfoot” along with other major releases have dominated the Beatport charts. You may have caught them at Ultra 2016 as well, spinning recognizable tunes from Mike Posner and Avicii—or perhaps at EDC and Tomorrowland (if so, lucky you).
