Cozy bakery Cakes Literally is now open on Owen Road.
The 18-seater is run by Carissa Choh (who previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry). Choh came up with the bakery name while exploring Melbourne’s many cafes, and walking down Literature Lane in the Australian city.
The bakery’s signature items are the chocolate cake ($7.50), carrot cake ($7) and orange almond cake ($5.50). But the menu changes seasonally. Other creations may include apple gingernut cheesecake ($7) and yogurt tiramisu ($5.50).
