1 Caramel is a cute café and desserts place located just outside The Cathay. Helmed by Chef Rafaie Kee (formerly from Reif +James), there are savories to be had here too, but it’s really the desserts that are stealing the limelight. Take your time to gawk at the daily selection available in a large glass showcase and select something from there; or simply order à la carte. Either way, it’s desserts galore at this sweet little place. We like the rather rich Peanut Butter Cheese Tart, as well as the oh‑so‑light Red Velvet, filled with moist sponge, dark chocolate and cherry ganache. The list is long; but other popular flavors to try include the Chocolate Praline Cake, the ultra sinful 1 Caramel Opera; and the pretty and delicious Chocolate Berry Lust that comes adorned with pretty colorful berries.
