Empress Jade

If there’s one place which does old-school Chinese food with modern class, Empress Jade it is. Perched right atop The Jewel Box, this new restaurant’s full‑glass enclosure offers a dazzling vista view of the harborfront and the sea beyond, providing the perfect setting for romantic meals or intimate wedding receptions. The menu, which is crafted by renowned consultant chef Jereme Leung, and inspired by heritage Singapore Chinese cuisine, features timeless pleasers such as traditional soya smoked fish  and the fried king prawns “har lok,” served in a glistening, caramelized coat of sauce. The pork liver with spring onions and ginger in claypot is unbelievably fragrant and tender too. The old‑fashioned Whampoa fried noodles with prawns and scrambled eggs is similarly delicious and slurpworthy. Drop by if you want to take your date’s breath away.
