One of the swankiest restaurants in the area, with mood lighting, plush seats and carpeting, and smooth piped‑in jazz music. If you’re a lover of Italian fare, it's an excellent option. Set lunches are especially good value, showcasing weekly rotating menus of delicately‑prepared reworkings of home style Italian classics, many from the north. If you’re looking to impress, the combination of innovative dishes and enthusiastic service make it a real winner.
Replacing Le Papillon, Otto Ristorante is certainly one of the chicest restaurants in the area. Mood lighting, plush seats and carpeting, and smooth piped-in jazz music ensure that the vibe here is strictly professional. You want to be a little dressed up when you come here.
Upon our arrivals, we were properly ushered to our tables. Service was friendly and prompt—our servers took our orders quickly, replenished our breads and refilled our complimentary still and sparkling water throughout our meal. We ordered the set lunches, each comprising a starter, main and dessert. The eggplant pie, Alla Parmigiana, was an interesting combination of eggplant, melted cheese and salsa sauce—and was flavorful as it was sinful. We also liked the barley and vegetable brunoise healthy soup, which was both healthy and tasty. Our three mains of Ligurian swordfish “piccata” with tomato capers and olives; beef tenderloin stripes served with arugula and balsamic sauce; and linguine with vongole, garlic and broccoli sauce were also pretty decent—especially the latter with its fresh, plentiful clams. A nice-but-not-outstanding chocolate mousse and bitter orange caramel wrapped up our meal.
Great for a quickie lunch, the overall dining experience here is definitely above average.
