Rivercafe

This sister restaurant to the well-established BROTH in Tanjong Pagar holds it own after its renovation in 2006, when it stripped back to a more minimalist and tidy feel inside, with the menu similarly refined. For lunch and dinner expect meat dishes like osso bucco and roast lamb rump, salads and pastas which are always reliably good. Breakfast has always been popular, and is one of the best times to make full use of the riverside locale. You can get pretty yummy traditional favorites like eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs on toast with your choice of the usual trimmings. Rivercafe is not quite spectacular, but the ambience is chilled, relaxed and unpretentious, and the food is nearly always well done. Accompanied by friendly, helpful service and a vista of joggers sweating it out doing their thing, Rivercafe is a decent choice for a place to while away the hours.
