Get ready to break the bank at these six shopping events in Singapore

A local jewelry designer clearance sale, farmer’s, arts and flea markets, and even a bazaar selling stylish hijabs, here’s where you can splash your cash on a slick new wardrobe, yummy gourmet ingredients or home decor items this month.

1. Carrie K. Pop Down Sale

Happening right now, stock up on sparkly baubles for your fingers with up to 75% off selected designs and 10% off regular-priced Carrie K. collections – the local jewelry designer is winding down their pop-up at the National Design Centre, so grab them before they sell out. Through Jan 10, 11am-7pm.

2. Laloolalang Bazaar 2.0 New Year Edition

Shop for stylish hijabs at this bazaar held the Aliwal Arts Centre. There are chic styles in different designs which are going at a steal— bargains include two for $54, to up to 30% off discounts. Jan 8-10, 12-9:30pm.

3. MAAD Pajamas

Another edition of the popular MAAD art market series is happening again at the Red Dot Design Museum this month, with the usual line-up of handcrafted wares by local artists, designers, crafters and artisans. The Organisation of Illustrators Council will also be there with 50 illustrators, artists, painters and hobbyists. If you feel up to it, then get your portrait done at #PortraitsAfterDark. 4. Open Farm Community Social Market #2

This cash-only event has a great roster of local and fresh produce from urban farmers, hydroponic farms, urban bee keepers and delicious epicurean food items like locally-made cheeses and jams, fresh oysters from Pulau Ubin and baked goods. There are also fun activities to keep you entertained, such as pilates and yoga sessions, a garden tour and even an all-you-need-to-know about urban bee-keeping—sign up for them first before heading down. Jan 9-10, 10am-4pm.

5. EcoBank Bazaar

Do your bit your charity and you just might walk away with some gems at this flea market, held at City Square Mall by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations to raise funds for disadvantaged and vulnerable women and children. And if you’re doing some spring cleaning, then donate pre-loved items to EcoBank by Jan 13 (more information here). Jan 16-17, 10am-8pm.

6. The Local People X Singapore Art Museum Art Week Art Market

Load up on craft alcoholic creations by The Local Soda Bar at this indie art market held at the Singapore Art Museum. The event’s set to the tunes of local musicians like Jaime Wong, Amanda Tee and Jean Goh Seizure, with stalls ranging from homegrown Japanese milk tea brand Matchaya to old-school popsicle purveyor The Sng Bao Society. You can also browse for locally-made knick knacks by stationary label The Eclectic Attic, jewelry designer Laurel Town, and more. Jan 24, 11am-7pm.
