The Sustainability Project opens new shop at Bukit Batok

On Jan 23, The Sustainability Project officially opened the doors of its new showroom at WCEGA Tower, Bukit Batok.

Dedicated to sustainable living, The Sustainability Project has been selling eco-friendly alternatives to lifestyle and home items such as laundry detergent, paper towels, shampoo and food containers since 2018, when it first transformed from a blog to an online shop.

With the new showroom, founder Joline Tang hopes to bring the shop’s selection of eco-friendly products to even more people, allowing an up-close look at everything from Stojo drinking cups to Stasher bags and Ever Eco’s stainless steel containers.

Looking to stock up on your laundry powder, hand sanitiser or soap nuts? The showroom comes with a handy zero-waste refill station too, located right next to the handmade coconut bowls and below the mask pouches and earrings made from recycled plastic bottles. Just bring your own containers and you’re good to go!

If you’ve got used boxes, bags and other packaging cluttering your home, you can bring them along to the showroom on your next visit and simply drop them off for free. Alternatively, shop for used (but clean and pretty!) packaging and gift boxes to wrap your next birthday gift in style and without any extra waste.

The showroom also dedicates a nook to second-hand books in good condition, whose proceeds go to tree-planting efforts around Singapore. Good news for all of us eco-conscious readers!

If you’re looking to drop by and have a browse of the showroom, make sure to book an appointment through the showroom’s calendar, as slots are limited and time-sensitive in order to ensure social distancing.
