Featuring the world premiere of Manu Martin’s Lim Fantasy of Companionship for Piano and Orchestra, the classical concert will be held for one night only, on 08 Jun at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Launched in 2015 to much fanfare, Run For Light has been tirelessly pledging support to Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd in their public awareness and fund-raising campaigns for the visually impaired. On its 7th edition, the run adopts a hybrid approach with a virtual run and the return of an on-site race at Punggol Waterway in two categories: a 5km Fun Run and 10km Competitive Run. All participants stand to receive a 7th Edition Event Tee, Race Medal, and an E-cert. Podium finishers will also walk away with an exciting range of sport products and trophies.

Celebrating his 85th year of life, #GBK85 is a comprehensive solo exhibition by cultural medallion recipient and renowned Singaporean artist Goh Beng Kwan, in hopes of reaching out to new audiences and inspiring the younger generation. COMMEMORATE THE FALL OF SINGAPORE

 

 

Encounter, understand, and reflect on life in wartime Singapore at Dislocations: Memory and Meaning of the Fall of Singapore, 1942, a commemorative exhibition that foregrounds the Singaporean perspective on the war, which is receding from people’s memories. Happening from now – 29 May, the exhibition highlights previously undisclosed stories and intimate accounts of the war across seven specially designed immersive zones that boast augmented reality and gamification methods.

Expect an interactive appreciation of history as Singapore’s first ever outdoor treasure hunt combines local theatre and virtual gameplay. Put on your thinking caps and use your skills for good as you travel back in time to stop a nefarious plan to destroy Singapore’s beloved national monuments in the Civic District. Backed by a stellar cast including Hossan Leong and Munah Bagharib, the story is written by award-winning playwright Chong Tze Chien.
