Christmas Wonderland is back this year with bigger, better light sculptures

While the world continues to marvel at the Supertree Grove – specifically, whether they are even real or just props for a set on Crazy Rich Asians – we’ve already been treated to its peak magnificence the past four years every festive season.

Every year-end, we know to expect the return of Christmas Wonderland, a European-style festive carnival that is probably Singapore’s more immersive annual yuletide celebration. Now in its fifth edition, the outdoor fair held on the grounds of the Supertree Grove is here to wow us again.

It’s time to refresh our Instagram feeds come Nov 30-Dec 26 with Asia’s tallest luminarie Christmas tree being set up at the entrance of Gardens by the Bay. And making its first appearance here, a massive 22-metre high luminarie mirror maze will be built on-site, and you’re welcome to weave your way through it. The maze, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, will be the key attraction this year.

Over at the performance tent, top illusionist Rob Lake will be headlining this year’s lineup, showcasing his critically-acclaimed production, The Magic of Rob Lake. Other than that, there will be plenty of other things to keep you spellbound, such as a Santa visit in his upgraded Alpine House at Santa’s Grotto; an outdoor skating rink with an 8-metre illuminated Christmas tree in the middle; and food kiosks by Blue Lotus, Sinfonia Ristorante, Three Buns and more.

The well-loved Festive Market, carnival games and faux snow blizzards are making a return too, so there are activities aplenty. Oh, and the Supertree Grove is debuting its new light and sound show during the festival as well, so be sure to keep a lookout for that. It sure is starting to look a lot like Christmas.

Christmas Wonderland 2018 takes place Nov 30-Dec 26 from 4pm-11pm at Gardens by the Bay. Tickets $4-$10 available here.
