A roving truck is going around town letting you race in a virtual F1 car for free

The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2019 is coming around soon, and in the lead up to the main event happening Sep 20-22, a roving truck is making pit stops at locations all over Singapore, bringing some hot racing action to your doorstep.

From now till Sep 16, the F1 Power Up Truck will be heading to locations like Como Dempsey, Nanyang Polytechnic, Safra Punggol, Chinatown Point and many others (full list and dates here), all in an effort to bring the F1 action closer to you.

New in this year’s truck is a virtual reality racing simulator where you can race the Marina Bay Street Circuit as Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen, letting you live out your F1 dreams, even if just for a moment. Also new onboard are a guided behind-the-scenes tour and a 360 ̊ circuit park experience—all in glorious VR.

Other than the F1 Power Up Truck offerings, you can also sign up for real life guided walking tours of the Marina Bay Street Circuit in August. The two-hour tours bring you through the inner workings of the Paddock and race team garages, and lets you access usually restricted areas like the media centre and race control room.

For the first time this year, participants can also get to see the pit crews in action at the separate Thursday Pit Lane Experience on Sep 19. Sign up for a spot while you can.

All F1 Power Up activities are complimentary, with sign-ups required for the tours and pit lane experience.
