Hossan Leong is returning to stage his final stand-up, Hossan-Ah 50!

Having turned 50 a little less than a month ago, Singaporean comedian Hossan Leong will be returning to stage his much-loved Hossan-Ah! stand-up comedy in celebration of him hitting the half-century mark.

But the show isn’t just a birthday commemoration. It has also been revealed by Leong himself that Hossan-Ah 50! Love You Leong Time!, happening Aug 14-31, will actually be his final stand-up performance (he says he’s not retiring, so we’re hoping to get into that later).

Watch Leong, as he sings and jokes about living through three recessions, two international airports and one government. And while we don’t want to give spoilers, audiences can look forward to songs like “Shallow” from acclaimed movie A Star is Born, a Burt Bacharach medley, as well as one of JJ Lin’s Mandarin songs.

Plus, as with every Hossan-Ah! show, there’ll be a quick-change segment, and this upcoming show will feature one with eight Disney princesses (including a secret princess that has yet to be revealed).

Being the Singapore Boy’s final run, it’s only right that the show should be his largest and most grand solo show yet—and that’s exactly what’s been promised. A live band will be present, complete with backup singers and great multimedia to really jazz things up. We’ll expect no less from one of Singapore’s best.

Catch Hossan-Ah 50! Love You Leong Time! from Aug 14-31, at Drama Centre Theatre. Tickets start from $55, and are available here.
