If you know a thing or two about theatre folks The Theatre Practice, you’d probably already be acquainted with the fact that the company stages plenty of site-specific plays, with one debuting to much success in 2018. And having had the past year to revise and rework the show, audiences can look forward to catching Four Horse Road along Waterloo Street again.
Still showcasing a similar concept whereby a medley of stories will look at over 150 years of Singapore history, and in particular three heritage buildings within the Bras Basah precinct; rediscover our heritage with an interesting cast of characters.
But this time around, expect a mix of old and new narratives. We’re still unsure which stories will be brought back and what others will be introduced, though we hope that one of the more memorable segments inspired by true events such as a teenager hijacking a bus to the driver’s agony will return.
So if you missed the opportunity to catch Four Horse Road two years ago, fret not. This is another chance for you to watch history unfold before your eyes. Besides, we’re sure the show will only get better with time.
